Mediation

Amica counsellors talking

What is mediation?

It is a way of resolving conflict, where a neutral third party brings together the people in conflict and assists them in finding a mutually agreed way to proceed.

The mediation process focuses on establishing clear and appropriate communication between parties in a constructive and safe environment.  The process does require that people attend with a commitment to listen to and respect each other in order to find new ways ahead. The mediation process helps establish and agree a plan for parties and those involved.

For the parties it can bring about the end of a difficult experience, and for the organisation bring the benefits of improved working. This guide gives more details about the process.

How we can help

Amica has a solid track record with mediations leading to positive outcomes, and we are experienced in mediating in complex cases and at executive level. We can work with your team, providing a neutral location to meet.

Post mediation Amica does follow up with the parties concerned to ascertain progress and to offer further support if needed.

All our mediators are dual qualified in counselling and mediation, bringing in-depth knowledge of psychological processes to the resolution of disputes.
